[A860] Omni Kitkat 4.4.3 ROM RC2.0 by Syhost

Warning: This is not an official ROM, this is a ROM ported to A860L/S/K by Syhost.
Currently, Youtube does not work properly (Video breaks) – FIXED, see below!

Features:

1) Wifi: ok

2) Bluetooth: ok (Sometimes Bluetooth disconnects and reconnects)

3) 2G / 3G: ok

4) SMS: ok, including long SMS

5) GPS: ok

6) Camera: ok (Photo taking is OK, Video recording may need to restart to store the files )

7) GPU control: ok

8) Sound, microphone etc.: Ok

10) Proximity sensor  : ok

11) Light sensor: ok

12) Gyroscope: ok

13) Video playback: ok

14) Touch screen: ok

15) OTG: not fully functional, mouse is ok but usb disk does not mount

16) WFD (Wireless Display): Unknown

17) MTP and USB connection: ok

18) NFC: ok

19) Wifi and Bluetooth tethering: OK

20) Vibration: ok, but Vibration patterns do not work

Update August 15th To fix Youtube video problem:

- Use any root browser apps, go to system/ and open build.prop, change the value as below

lpa.decode=false
lpa.use-stagefright=true
mm.enable.smoothstreaming=false

[A890] Root and Recovery for VEGA Secret Note KitKat

This will guide you to root and install recovery for your Pantech VEGA A890 S/L/K running latest official KitKat firmware
As always, make sure your have the drivers to connect your phone to your PC and download some files

2)  Install Driver Fastboot: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B06fkIYmO9HJbXM5LTNCMWZKa2M/edit?usp=sharing
Choose the right root and recovery tool for your version (S, L or K) (in GoogleDrive page below, From menu File ==> Choose Download)

4) Power off your device, Hold Volume (+), Volume (-) and Power to go into Fastboot mode, Connect your phone to the PC, waiting for drivers to be installed
5) Unzip the root and recovery tool downloaded above, Run RunFastboot.bat, the device will reboot into Recovery.
6) When you want to exit the Recovery, it will ask you whether you want to root your device, choose Yes. Your device will reboot and ROOTED.

[A880s] Alternative rooting method for Pantech VEGA A880s

For ones who failed with the other rooting method
1. Root:
- Download root tool: http://www.mediafire.com/download/7e...b/RootA880.rar
- Drivers for Sky A880s: http://file.isky.co.kr/upload/softwa..._USBDriver.zip
- Enter A880 to fastboot: Power off your device, Push and hold Vol-, Vol+ and Power at the same time. Use Vol- to navigate to fastboot, press power to enter fastboot mode
- Connect your device to PC, waiting for drivers to be installed properly
- Extract the root tool, Run RootSkyA880.exe, wait device reboot. Your device is now ROOTED

2. Recovery for SKY A880:
- Download recovery file: http://www.mediafire.com/download/ht...iszell2008.rar
- Enter fastboot like above
- Run: A880_Recovery.bat to enter CWM recovery

[A840s] Root and Recovery for Sky VEGA A840s official JellyBean

This guideline will help you to Root and Install recovery for your Pantech VEGA A840S (also called VEGA S5) with JellyBean firmware

Files to download (password if being asked: vegaviet.com):

How to install Recovery and root

• Install drivers A840s for your PC
• Download the Root tool from 2. above, unzip and copy to your device (Internal or extenal SD is ok)
• Power off your device, Press and hold 3 hard buttons at the same time, wait a few seconds, choose Fastboot mode 
• Connect your device with PC, waiting for drivers to install properly
• Download Recovery tool v1 from 3. above, unzip and run: Install Recovery from Fastboot.bat, choose 1 and enter
• Your device will reboot into CWM recovery 6.0.1.0 (soft recovery)
• While in recovery, choose install zip from sdcard ==> choose zip from sdcard.
• Browse for file A840S_Root for all_JB.zip and choose yes- install....
• Choose nguyen_vh_recovery_jb.zip and choose yes- install....
• Reboot your device. Your device is now rooted with recovery installed.

If your device is stuck at Fastboot mode, you need to install android usb drivers, download it here https://www.dropbox.com/s/m68wzg4aw7dztf3/android_usb_windows.zip, unzip and install from the Device managers of your PC.
