[A880s] Alternative rooting method for Pantech VEGA A880s

For ones who failed with the other rooting method
1. Root:
- Download root tool: http://www.mediafire.com/download/7e...b/RootA880.rar
- Drivers for Sky A880s: http://file.isky.co.kr/upload/softwa..._USBDriver.zip
- Enter A880 to fastboot: Power off your device, Push and hold Vol-, Vol+ and Power at the same time. Use Vol- to navigate to fastboot, press power to enter fastboot mode
- Connect your device to PC, waiting for drivers to be installed properly
- Extract the root tool, Run RootSkyA880.exe, wait device reboot. Your device is now ROOTED

2. Recovery for SKY A880:
- Download recovery file: http://www.mediafire.com/download/ht...iszell2008.rar
- Enter fastboot like above
- Run: A880_Recovery.bat to enter CWM recovery

• Full de-odexed
• Unlimited SMS characters with default SMS app or Hangout
• Modified host file to block ads
• Added Grenify to save battery (according to the developer of this ROM, this is the most stable version so Grenify should not be updated)
• Screen can be turned off by touching the right corner
• Some optimizations

How to flash

• Flash this Recovery via your current Teamwin recovery http://www.mediafire.com/download/c1qi2arcrol4dnl/PhilzTouch_CWM_6.0.4.8_KK_Official_A880_by_diszell2008_ZIP.zip
• Reboot recovery, do 3 wipes (factory reset, cache, davik cache), then flash this file http://www.mediafire.com/download/h3apjjfbd3brv5t/Vega-LTE-A-A880S_KK.zip

[A880S] Rooting PANTECH VEGA A880S

Warning: YOUR WARRANTY IS NOW VOIDED
This method applies to Pantech VEGA A880S Official KitKat firmware
- Download and install drivers from http://file.isky.co.kr/upload/software/USB/IMA880S_USBDriver.zip
- Download Root tool: http://www.mediafire.com/?rs6xdy1bqmysnjk
- Enable USB-debugging (Settings –> Developer Options, choose USB debugging), if “Developer Options” is not there, tap “About” several times
- Connect your A880S with the PC, waiting for drivers to be installed properly
- Unrar the a880s_root.rar downloaded above
- Run ROOT.bat, your phone will be restarted and now your SKY A880S is Rooted
